Do you require a smoke shaft test on your commercial build?
What Is a smoke shaft test?
A smoke shaft test is required in multi storey developments and is a key part in the fire strategy. It is important to ensure that shafts and ducts are airtight to below 3.8m3/(hr.m2) of air loss at a pressure of 50pa, so that they can extract smoke effectively, which will then help to save lives by greatly reducing the risk of smoke inhalation in the case of a fire.
